Conditions and terms of granting customs discounts to importer in return for jalopy:

The conditions of customs discounts and commercial interest to importers of automobiles and the equipment related to automobile industries about worn out automobiles were announced in accordance with the President's special representatives in development of public transportation and management of fuel use based upon article 127 of Islamic Republic of Iran's constitutional law. And the observance of decree 41048T/131401 dated 1387/7/30 is adopted:

1. Bank facilities are paid in return for junking worn out automobiles. It's about 50 million Rials with five year pay-off for automobiles, taxis and pick-up trucks with capacity of one tone or less, and it is 70 million Rials with five year pay-off for vans and pick-up trucks with capacity of more than one tone. For each worn out minibus, it's 200 million Rials with seven year pay-off.

2. The value of junking certification is estimated maximum 10 million Rials for each automobile and pick-up truck with the capacity of less than one tone. Van and pick-up trucks with the capacity of more than one tone are maximum 20 million Rials, taxis and minibus are about the most 30 million Rials.

3. The importer of automobiles and the equipment automobile industries –in the case of not using the article (1)'s facilities- can use at most 30 million Rials in return for junking for each worn out minibus and 15 million Rials for other automobiles in article(1) and can use discounts in commercial interest of imported automobiles.

4. The certification of worn out automobiles will be issued after junking affairs in junking center under the control of management of fuel and transportation staff and disciplinary force's confirmation. It will be confirmed by the mentioned staff. Then it will be notified to Iran's disciplinary force and customs in order to use customs discounts and commercial interest.

5. General Director of customs house announced by a circular:

Following circular number 272/113/716/113/141024/192616 dated 1386/7/17; the above mentioned facts will be notified according to mentioned article. Issued junking certification from fuel and transportation management staff should be notified by this staff and should be investigated by that customs.
